Beaches of the Costa Dorada
The Costa Dorada, in Tarragona, borders the Costa del Garraf to the north and the Costa del Azahar to the south. It boasts 81 kilometers of coastline spread across more than sixty beaches and coves, most of which feature fine, golden sand and shallow waters.
Most of the municipalities on the Costa Dorada have been awarded the blue flag, an eco-label that guarantees standards of water quality, sand cleanliness, accessibility, and services. Some destinations also hold ISO 14001:2004 certification , which guarantees environmental management on the beaches.
Cala Crancs, in Salou
Cala Crancs is located in Cap de Salou, about 6 kilometers from the city of Salou and relatively close to La Pineda, where Hotel Palas Pineda is located. It is a small, hidden cove with crystal-clear waters, half-circular in shape, somewhat thicker sand and surrounded by leafy pine forests. It is a very quiet beach, perfect for relaxing during the summer holidays.
Tamarit Beach, in Tamarit
Tamarit Beach, in the Tarragona town of Tamarit, is a beach of fine sand 1.7 kilometers long and 45 meters wide. It has beautiful views of the Tamarit castle and is located next to the Gaià Delta River Nature Reserve, surrounded by poplars, willows and reeds in whose shade you can stop to rest. A perfect beach to visit with the family!
Beaches of l'Ametlla de Mar
L'Ametlla de Mar has 15 kilometers of spectacular beaches and coves such as Platja de Sant Jordi, Cala Forn, Cala Calafató or Platja de les Santes Creus. In the center of the town, we find the Platja de L'Alguer and, a few meters on foot, the Cala de Pixavaques. A very varied offer for you to choose the one you like the most!
