La Pineda, in the heart of the Costa Dorada

La Pineda is a population entity that belongs to the municipality of Vilaseca, in the province of Tarragona, located between the historic city of Tarragona and the lively and tourist city of Salou.

It is located on the Costa Dorada, the stretch of Mediterranean coast that includes the regions of Baix Camp, Tarragonès and Baix Penedès, from the mouth of the Foix River to the Ebro Delta. With 126 kilometers of coastline, it limits to the north with the Costa del Garraf (in Barcelona) and to the south with the Costa del Azahar (in Castellón).

Beaches of the Costa Dorada

The Costa Daurada, in Tarragona, borders the Costa del Garraf to the north and the Costa del Azahar to the south. It has 81 kilometers of coastline spread over more than sixty beaches and coves, most of which have fine golden sand and shallow access into the interior of the sea.

Most of the municipalities of the Costa Dorada have the blue flag, an eco-label that guarantees water quality standards, sand cleanliness, accessibility and services. Some destinations also have ISO 14001: 2004 certification, which guarantees environmental management on the beaches.
